DURING EASTER WEEK THERE WAS A GREAT LUCK OF TOURISTS

According to preliminary estimates from the Quintana Roo Tourism Secretariat, with data from Hotel Associations, Municipal Tourism Directorates and the Quintana Roo Tourism Promotion Council, we exceed almost 30% the tourist influx in the weekly holiday season Santa 2021.

For the Easter holiday season, which runs from March 27 to April 11, tourist destinations in the Mexican Caribbean reached a total of 863,375 tourists throughout the state.

The Secretary of Tourism of Quintana Roo Marisol Vanegas Pérez, highlighted that the Mexican Caribbean has an offer of more than 114 thousand 789 hotel rooms, more than one thousand 188 hotels, of which 68.3% correspond to rooms in the category of 5 Stars and Gran Turismo of the country.



In 2020 Quintana Roo received more than 8 million visitors, which maintains the Mexican Caribbean as a favorite destination, worldwide, for vacationing.

This as a result of the actions that have been implemented in the last year, from the health emergency caused by COVID-19, especially regarding the Certification in Health Protection and Prevention (CPPSIT).



As tourism is the main economic activity in the state, it generates more than 450 thousand direct jobs, collaborators who, hand in hand with the productive sector, maintain an economic activity based on quality, hospitality and good treatment.
