AGENCIES WILL OFFER CRP TESTS TO TRAVELERS

Despegar already offers the PCR testing service, it is for its clients who are in Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya and Tulum and travel to destinations where they request it to enter.

Along with Despegar, Best Day and Viajes Falabella are also the agencies that offer this new service.

The PCR test can be purchased through the Despegar website and mobile application, in its Activities section. The traveler has the option of choosing whether he wants the team of specialists to come to his hotel or prefer to go to the corresponding laboratory to take the exam.

The test for the detection of specific antigens of SARS-CoV-2 has begun to be requested as a requirement to enter, after a trip, Argentina, Canada, Colombia and the United States request or will request the PCR test from travelers, or antigens, with a negative result to enter the territory.



According to Despegar, the objective of this new service is to facilitate access to these tests to foreign tourists who visit Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya and Tulum, and to Mexican travelers who are destined for the aforementioned countries.

At the moment this product is available only for travelers visiting Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya and Tulum. Despegar will seek to extend it to other destinations and continue adding new innovations.
